Board Meeting Minutes

October 22, 2013

I.               Prayer

II.             Pledge Allegiance

III.           Roll Call: One excused absent,  Jailer Ken Kells

IV.            Minutes Approved First by Ricky Parnell, Second by Hack Marcum. Passed

V.              Treasurer’s Report :   Brad Boyd, as of today everything is in my possession.   The two money market CDs are still in the Rockcastle County.  Motion by Bobby Waits Second by Ricky Parnell. Motion Carries.

VI.            Conference Presentation

VII.          Conference Proposals-   After conference presentations we realized we needed a date in December so we can offer new jailers training at the same time.   Jailer James Miller made a motion to table the presentations and look for December dates.   Bobby Waits second the motion.   December 1 or December 8.  Motion was withdrawn.   Motion by Rodney Ballard second by Bobby Waits.   Top 3 in priority order are Owensboro Hampton Inn, Bowling Green Holiday Inn, and Cincinnati Airport Marriot.

VIII.        Committee Reports

a.     Training- no update

b.      Scholarship -  Took out the Juvenile Part

c.      Nomination – no report

d.     Jailer of the Year- Nominations out the first of the year

e.     Deputy Jailer- Nothing to Report

f.      By Laws- Nothing to Report

IX.            New Business

A.     Audit Report - Rodney went to debit cards regardless of the account and give it to them when they are released. Your commissary company will provide the kiosk.  Renee and Gene will meet with the auditors office to discuss.

X.              Member Concerns

a.     Get reimbursed when you take one to LaGrange.  Hack has the paper work.

b.     Gene just had all of house leadership and chairman at a reception in Frankfort last week.  We had a lot of ear time with members at that event.

XI.  Next Board Meeting -   November 20 at KACo Conference
