Gov. Steve Beshear has signed Senate Bill 90, legislation dealing with unclaimed inmate funds that was supported by the KJA.
The legislation was sponsored by Sen. Ernie Harris, R-Crestwood. It creates a new section of the Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) Chapter 441 that provides a process for returning unclaimed funds in an inmate or canteen account.
